From A1, travelling South, come off at the roundabout at Cockburnspath, the signpost directs you to Cockburnspath and Abbey St Bathans, you are now on the old A1.  Follow the road past Cockburnspath garage, the village, and the bowling green on the right.  Drive uphill out of the village until you come to a road on the right, (this road has no number).  The signpost will say Abbey St Bathans 7 miles.  ¼ mile up this road you will come to Neuk Farm and the cottages on the right.  The farmhouse is a further ¼ mile further on, over the brow of the hill, on the right opposite Chesterfield Country retreat (caravan park).

From A1, travelling North, you will come onto a short stretch of dual carriageway 1.5 miles past a small village, on the right, called Grantshouse.  At the end of the dual carriageway, the road veers into 3 lanes and on the left there is a signpost and slip-road that directs you to Cockburnspath and Abbey St Bathans.  Follow this road, (old A1) for about ¼ mile when you will reach another road on the left and a sign-post that says Abbey St Bathans 7 miles.  Follow the remaining instructions as above.
